The Viva Palestina aid convoy - 110+ vehicles driven by brave, self-financed members of the British public and filled with almost £1m worth of practical aid - left London on 14th Feb 2009 on its way to Gaza through France, Spain and North Africa, as part of a remarkable initiative born of an idea by George Galloway MP and organised in just 4 weeks by the Viva Palestina umbrella group.
The convoy arrived in the besieged strip on Monday 9th March 2009.
