A beautiful nasheed by Muhammad Al-Jabbaly..
English translation, thanks to brother o0o0o2009
Ask Maha
Ask Maha about Gaza, perhaps she will narrate the story of its bleeding wound,
Perhaps she will draw the features of her destroyed home that now have no signs of existence,
And perhaps she may recognize the remains of her sister and neighbors face under the ruins
Ask Maha about the relentless injustice ceasing the life of the flowers of Palestine,And how her mother disappeared in the darkest immoral nights,
In a bloodshed era where my people witnessed humiliation and shame,
And the bitterness of the question of the childrens whereabouts unanswered.
Their frayed bodies that beam as stars with pure luminance beneath the rubble.Where are the women remembered by their bands and bags,
Whose absence tells the tale of destruction
About the fist with remnants of a veil beneath the sands of rubble,
What am I to say to you when hope has deserted me as a tree is left fruitless
What am I to say when I am incapable of seeing my family,When the face of darkness unites to spare them the suffering of day,
And the broken bread beneath the rubble remains witness to the secret of our home no more
